Windows Live FolderShare was a free file synchronization and sharing service from Microsoft Corporation that let you keep files up to date across multiple computers and share folders with trusted contacts. Using a lightweight desktop client for Windows and Mac, FolderShare synchronized selected folders directly between your devices over the Internet, so files stayed on your own machines rather than being stored in a central cloud. You could invite others to shared libraries for collaboration and remotely browse or download files from your PCs through a web interface when they were online. It was especially useful for keeping home and work computers in sync and for sending large files without email attachments.
Key features:
- Sync folders across multiple PCs and Macs
- Share libraries with permission-based access
- Peer-to-peer transfers that keep files on your devices
- Automatic background sync with conflict notifications
- Simple setup that works through most firewalls and routers
Note: Windows Live FolderShare has been discontinued and was succeeded by Windows Live Sync, later evolving into services such as OneDrive.
Windows Live FolderShare is developed by Microsoft and is used by 166 users of Software Informer. The names of program executable files are fsui.exe, WLXPhotoGallery.exe, wlmail.exe, WindowsLiveWriter.exe and wlcstart.exe. This particular product is not fit to be reviewed by our informers.
